Dr Raffi Kaprielian

I am a Consultant Cardiologist with specific subspecialty interests in Coronary artery disease and coronary angiography and angioplasty. I have been appointed in my NHS Practice at Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals NHSFT (at West Middlesex Hospital) and at Hammersmith Hospital since October 2002. I am a high volume operator in elective and emergency procedures at both of these hospitals with an excellent safety record as published in National audits websites. I have extensive experience in General cardiology, assessing patients with suspected cardiac symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness, angina, palpitations and blackouts. I perform and report non-invasive assessments with echocardiography and CT angiography to fully assess a patient with suspected cardiac disease or to assess the risk of a patient for developing future cardiac problems. I have research interests in Coronary Disease and have published widely in this field in recent trials performed at Imperial Hospitals NHS Trust.
