Dr Pradeep Magapu

Areas of Practice: ·       General cardiology ·         Coronary artery disease and percutaneous intervention – stenting Specialist areas of Practice:   ·         Assessment of chest pain with invasive and non-invasive stress testing ·         Coronary angiography ·         Intra-coronary imaging and flow studies ·         Percutaneous coronary intervention – stents Dr Magapu was appointed a consultant at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and Warrington and Halton Hospitals in October 2016. He trained at Liverpool University, obtaining MBChB. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. Dr Magapu has worked in the Merseyside area since 2002, practising in many of the local hospitals. He trained in interventional cardiology from 2014 until his appointment to a consultant post. He undertakes general cardiology at Warrington Hospital, where he holds a post of Clinical Director. Dr Magapu is competent to manage general cardiology conditions which includes; hypertension, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias (irregular heart beat and palpitations) and heart failure. Dr Magapu also undertakes the care of patients with breast cancer who are receiving Herceptin therapy, with a one-stop clinic where their heart function is assessed and managed. This is in conjunction with Oncology services from Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology. Consultations offered: Face to face, telephone and video
