Dr Penelope Hill

Grew up in Melbourne, Australia and went to The University of Melbourne to do my Medical degree. I completed my membership training in Obs and Gynae in Australia then travelled to the UK for further post graduate training. I met my husband in Glasgow and completed my final training in the UK in Belfast. I was appointed my first consultant post in the Mater Hospital in 1999 and moved to the Ulster hospital in 2004 where I worked for 20 years until retiring from the NHS in December 2023. We have 2 children and two black labradors. I am a keen gardener , walker , sewer and reader. I have taken up cold water swimming and ballroom dancing in my retirement.

I am a general Gynaecologist with a special interest in urogynaecology, specifically the management of prolapse. I also see patients with menstrual disturbance including adolescents. I am also interested in managing women with menopausal issues.
