Dr Jacqueline Tay

I qualified from the University of Leicester Medical School in 1986 and trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Leicester, South Manchester and Leeds. Through a clinical fellowship which combined research in reproductive medicine and clinical work in an IVF Unit in Leeds, I obtained my MD degree in 2004 from the University of Leicester. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. I am on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC) of the United Kingdom and am also fully revalidated (through annual appraisals) by the GMC. I have an interest in benign Gynaecology, particularly in heavy menstrual bleeding, fibroids and ambulatory gynaecology such as out-patient treatment of menstrual bleeding (endometrial ablations) and management of uterine polyps. I also perform hysterectomies and laparoscopic procedures for heavy menstrual bleeding, fibroids and ovarian cysts. Apart from clinical work, I am actively involved in post-graduate medical education and am a GMC-recognised educational and clinical supervisor. I am also a faculty member for the Part 3 membership (MRCOG) courses at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK. I am also a clinical examiner for the Part 3 membership (MRCOG) examinations of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK.

Menstrual disorders, heavy menstrual bleeding. Ambulatory benign gynaecology - outpatient hysteroscopy and hysteroscopic treatments and endometrial ablation (local and general anaesthesia). Management of uterine fibroids.
