Dr Heather Angus-Leppan

Dr Heather Angus-Leppan MBBS Hons, MSc, MD, FRACP.FRCP, trained in Sydney, Oxford and Cardiff and is Consultant neurologist and epilepsy lead at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. Heather is Research Director for Theme 2 at Royal Free London. She is Honorary Associate Professor at University College London, and National Lead for Stratified medicine for Neurology for the Clinical Research Network. She is winner of the 2021 Eminent Scientist of the year award for the International Research Promotion Council, past President of Clinical neurosciences section, Royal Society of Medicine and past Honorary secretary of the Association of British Neurologists. She is a member of the National Institute for Clinical research guidelines group for Multiple sclerosis, International League against Epilepsy Task Force, Spontaneous intracranial Hypotension and Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome task forces, and is on the Editorial board for the Journal of Neurology. Her research interests are epilepsy, intellectual disability and migraine.  

I have special interests in migraine, epilepsy, intellectual disability, neurological teaching & research, and patient education.
