GMC reg: 6120593Dr Baldry is an established Consultant Clinical Oncologist. She is experienced in all non-surgical treatments for breast cancer including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted treatments and immunotherapy. She enjoys getting to know her patients and takes pride in providing holistic care, taking into account her patients’ needs, concerns and priorities. She has received large amounts of positive patient feedback regarding both her medical expertise and her care for her patients as individuals. Currently she runs weekly clinics in the private sector, alongside her NHS practice, and is happy to see new patients. She gained a first class undergraduate degree at Oxford university, specialising in cancer biology, developmental biology and genetics. She was awarded a prize for cancer biology as the top performing student in the year for this subject. She went on to clinical training in Edinburgh, gaining further undergraduate prizes and was awarded honours in her medical degree. After junior doctor training she obtained an academic training post in clinical oncology in London, working in hospitals including Guy’s and St Thomas’, and Barts. While training she sat the examinations for the Royal College of Radiologists. She was awarded the gold medals for both parts of the examination. The medals are awarded to the highest performing candidate internationally in each sitting of the examination, and Dr Baldry was only the third person to have achieved both medals. Dr Baldry has taken an active role in improving breast radiotherapy, organising weekly peer review meetings and working on new radiotherapy techniques. She has been a voting member for national radiotherapy guidance and contributes to national audit. She trains specialist radiographers for advanced practice roles. She is an examiner for the specialist examinations run by the Royal College of Radiologists and is a director of the Sheffield FRCR preparation course run for doctors taking their final oncology examinations. Since 2020 she has contributed to two textbooks on the management of breast cancer, and has taught on a European course for surgeons.
