Dr Ahmed F Massoud

I am a London-based Consultant Paediatrician & Paediatric Endocrinologist. Having qualified as a medical doctor (MBBS) from University College London, I undertook postgraduate general paediatric (MRCPCH followed by FRCPCH, MRCP followed by FRCP) and sub-speciality training in various London teaching hospitals, including a two year period of full time clinical research, culminating in a Doctorate (MD) from the University of London. Following a brief fellowship in Melbourne, Australia, as a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellow, I took up my NHS Consultant post in 1999 at Northwick Park Hospital along with an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Child Health position with Imperial College School of Medicine. As well as having a private practice in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology, I continue to work part-time in the NHS. I previously held the position of Chairman of the College Speciality Advisory Committee for Paediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH). I am past Chairman of the Portland Hospital Paediatric Subcommittee and current Chairman of the Portland Hospital Medical Advisory Committee. Since 2018, I have held the position of Head of Department of Paediatrics and Child Health and Chief Medical Advisory for Paediatrics at HCAHealthcare UK.
