I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in knee surgery. Prior to medical training, I completed a degree in engineering & spent time working for a multinational engineering firm in Switzerland. My background in engineering naturally led to an interest in orthopaedic surgery. I gained my medical degree at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and completed trauma and orthopaedic surgical training in the Yorkshire and Humber region. During my training, I also completed a national leadership and management fellowship. I have specialised in the management of knee disorders through two renowned fellowships in Harrogate and Bristol. My fellowship experience has allowed me to experience the breadth of modern arthroplasty and soft tissue techniques. I was appointed as a consultant specialist knee surgeon at Harrogate District Hospital in 2021. I am involved in teaching trainee surgeons and holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education. I am actively involved in research with numerous publications and have delivered multiple national and international presentations.
