Mr Ellabban is a consultant ophthalmologist at Hull University teaching Hospitals. His surgical expertise encompasses simple and complex cataract surgery and he performed thousands of cataract surgeries over the past 18 years. He has a special interest in the management of retinal diseases. He has diverse experience in retinal surgery and offers state-of-the-art suture-less retinal surgery for a range of retinal disorders including macular hole, epiretinal membrane, floaters, vitreous haemorrhage and retinal detachment. He also provides intravitreal injection treatments for retinal disorders including Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Maculopathy, and Retinal Vein Occlusion. Mr Ellabban was trained across the UK, Japan and Egypt. He completed a PhD from the world-renown Kyoto University in Japan focusing on macular diseases. Following that, he completed 2 retina fellowships in the UK. Mr Ellabban is a senior lecturer at Hull York Medical School and has more than 40 publications in peer-reviewed ophthalmic journals and co-authored 2 book chapters. His research was presented in the major ophthalmology meetings across the world.
